S.T.R.E.S.S. and Well Being

One of the things doctors tell you to try to avoid when you're dealing with Lupus and Fibromyalgia, that is S.T.R.E.S.S. Well that may be easier for a doctor to tell you that than for you to actually do it. It's not like anyone wants stress in their life nor do they usually ask for it. How are you supposed to avoid it, when you don't realize it is there, til, well it's happening.

You can try and prevent from placing yourself into situations that promote stress. Even then you cannot guarantee you're completely in the clear. When you have a family, a spouse, anyone who is a potential cause, it's hard to avoid.

My kids cause me stress on a daily with their behaviors. I try to remove myself from the situation that is causing stress, I try to avoid situations that cause stress. I will not go to the grocery store with my children, nor take them into places I know that will cause a headache. We usually do not go anywhere without my husband along, and even then, it's not stress-free most of the time.

When your support system is small, what can you really do? I try talking about things that are stressing me out with no support or outcome of a solution to help fix it. I feel like I have to bite my tongue here and talking to anyone because I don't want to upset people. Is it really too hard to be happy? If I didn't feel like this every day, would I be happier?

Exactly how can you suffer every day with your physical health, stress, mental health, etc., and still be okay? Hopefully I find out soon.
